Description: The new 6102 is the latest offering from Nokia. Complimenting its small but steadily growing range of Clamshell models. Offering two displays with an option for a third. The internal screen displays 65k colours at 128x160, while the external screen has a display size of 96x65 and is capable of displaying 4096 colours. The Third possible display, if you need it, comes when you add the Nokia HS-6 Display Headset.
This phone is based on the 6101 model and has been specially designed for Nokia partner operators. Packed with the same features as the Nokia 6101 phone, the Nokia 6102 phone also comes equipped with several key extras. These are operator specific Wallpapers and screensavers, Operator start-up and shut-down graphics and tones and Customizable main menu, including graphics and text.
The push to talk feature lets you talk one-on-one or to a group with the touch of a button. By pressing the button once, everyone can hear you talk - release the button and hear others talking back to you. The feature uses GPRS and is network dependent. Think of it as a long range posh Walkie Talkie.
The Nokia 6102 comes complete with FM stereo radio and headset. Other cool features include video recording and playback, Integrated VGA camera (resolution 640 x 480 pixels) with dedicated camera button and you are able to use MP3 tracks for ringing/alert tones, as well as MIDI/polyphonic tones.
This handset is Tri-band GSM which enables coverage on up to five continents.

| Review: I just received this phone and I just have one thing to say...Nokia has done it again. I am, and have always been a Nokia user and because of my great experience with them, and because of the negative opinions I have heard with other cell phone companies, I chose to order the 6102. This is my first flip-phone and I have yet to find something about it that I don't like. If you are a Nokia user I'm sure you will be greatly satisfied with this phone. If not, I still think you will be satisfied. It's an amazing phone. |

Review: Nokia is amazing and this phone proves just that. Not only does it look good, but it performs very well with all functions including text messaging. Nokia's set up for text is second to none. Moto is very difficult and time consuming to send text messages, but Nokia got it right. I have not experienced LG or Samsung, but I am very satisfied with Nokia products and plan to keep using them. For the money - 89.99 - you get a lot of functions and use out of this unit.
BTW - Do NOT order from letstalk.com -- their service is horrible and the money you save on the phone is not worth the hassle. For example, if you do a "contract extension" - they will send you another SIM card, but cut your current SIM card off - leaving you without service until you recieve your new phone. That is ridiculous. Cingular cannot reset a SIM card after it has been cut off and letstalk.com fails to inform you of this prior to purchasing the phone. Just thought I would share that information. |

| Review: I bought this phone 2 days ago. Nokia has always been my first selction in phones and this proves why. 2 Years ago I got stuck with a Motorola and had nothing but trouble out of it. Aftering being very patient it really paid off. This phone has everything I can think of plus more. Of course I haven't had any problems with it yet only using it for a few days. However I know I made the right decision. |
